Welcome to my Printmaking World, where printmaking is the highest form of media intelligence, the ancestral root of all media arts. I had an epiphany in 1968 when I began combining photography and hand-pulled etchings. Video mixed with my prints next, and then cinema. Computer graphics might have been the last thing I needed, but then came digital games--some call games the "Art of the 21st Century."
This Web site, printmakingworld.com, may be my last attempt to express my lifelong love of printmaking. You can go to my Web site www.emeralda.com , for the Halfwood Press original - or my 1994 original site. The Halfwood Press dominates my studio production. Get more on navigation bar at the left.

| This print is from an etched copper plate. I heat transferred a laser transfer image on silicon coated paper to the copper before etching with ferric chloride. I made numerous impressions of it at a summer art fair in 2008 with my Mini Halfwood Press. This impression is in the collection of Vernon Brejcha, Kansas glass artist--and also an owner of a Mini Halfwood. |
