This is an imaginary place, a region of beauty, freedom and mystery. From its geographic and geological character to the society and individuals who dwell in Emeralda, nothing is as it appears to the eye. It is an area dominated by a triangle of three mountain peaks with a bottomless lake in the center. The lake is ringed with ten islands, like a pearl necklace; and on the lake's shores are four cities.
